Dog meat trade in the Philippines

Some of the dogs grammed into cages die en route to slaughter those remaining have yheir throats slip while still conscious.

AMBASSADORS TO THE PHILIPPINES.

Dear Ambassadors:

The Canadian Voice for Animals Foundation, with branches in Argentina, Germany, Norway, Peru, United States of America, and Africa, take this opportunity to voice our concerns about the dog meat trade in the Philippines.

We were horrified to learn from many of our supporters in Manila, that dogs slated for slaughter in Baguio are transported in such horrific conditions that as many as 50 to 60% of them die during the gruelling trip, and the remainder have their throats slip while still conscious.

Gentlemen, this is the 21st Century, a time when the human race must seriously consider the matter of living in harmony with all of the world’s creatures.

It is our intent to begin a campaign to halt all U.S. and Canadian travel to the Philippines until the government gives this matter some serious thought.

We urge you to do all that you can to encourage your government to put an end to this barbarous industry.

We look forward to a positive and early reply,

Respectfully yours,

Earle Bingley,

President,

Canadian Voice for Animals Foundation
